The key to setting up a successful strategic
sourcing service is to do it in a way that limits risks and
makes any transition as seamless as possible. These are the
steps we suggest you take to start manufacturing in China
as quickly, and efficiently as is possible.
- Ideally, select production runs
that are labor intense. Raw material costs are comparable
to USA costs.
- Forward to us clear, concise drawings
detailing manufacturing requirements.
- Be sure to include sub drawings and
detailed specification requirements such as plating, heat
treating and finishing spec's.
- Fax, e-mail, or electronic drawings
are acceptable
- If available, sample pieces forwarded
to us would be helpful.
- Tooling down payment would be negotiable,
if required.
- Upon order placement, price, lead time,
and final delivery would be agreed upon.
- Should the Asian lead time not be sufficient,
we have domestic transitional capabilities that can assure
quick turn around to meet your immediate needs.
By using this manufacturing strategy, you
keep your risks to an absolute minimum. You also don’t
risk disturbing your production schedule because, in the beginning,
you will only be making a portion of the product you use each
year.
